The Garden Grill Dinner with Chip & Dale

If you are in EPCOT and are looking for an alternative to Dining with the princesses then The Garden Grill is a great choice. The Garden Grill is located in the Land Pavilion in Future World on the second floor.

Some fun things about this restaurant is that it slowly rotates as you dine. It takes about one full rotation for you to dine. The food is served Family Style all you can eat. The characters that stop by to visit and take photos are Chip, Dale, Mickey and Pluto. They also offer an Allergy Friendly menu. My daughter has Peanut and Tree nut allergies and they served her food on it’s own plate. Which was great they did the same the bread, salad and dessert. So if you or your kids suffer for food allergies this is a great place to enjoy a nice meal with out any worries.

First we were served bread and butter, a hearty salad and then our food arrived. Turkey, Beef and Sausage. Along with macaroni and cheese and string beans and delicious sweet potato fries. Everything was great but the mac and cheese looked really cheesy, but it did not taste very cheesy it actually had no real taste at all. The string beans are also on the hard side, so if you like softer veggies let them know. Other than those two things everything else was wonderful. The meats were nice and tender and not over cooked or dry. The mashed potatoes were also very good. We were so full from our first serving that when the second round of food arrived we could not eat it.

A few minutes after or dinner was served the characters began to visit us at out table. First was Chip, then Mickey and Pluto and last was Dale. Fun Fact– Did you know how to tell which one is Chip and which one is Dale? Look at their noses. Chip’s nose is the same color as a chocolate chip and dales is a lighter brown.

The characters were great and the kids enjoyed taking photos with them. Did you know there are only Two places to dine with the Characters in Epcot. The Garden Grill and Akershus in Norway with the Princesses. It is always nice to have a character dining location inside of the theme parks instead of the resort hotels unless it is a resort you are staying in. Finally our dessert arrived and that really put us over the top.

Our overall experience at The Garden Grill was great. The kids had a blast. The Food was well prepared overall and the dessert was wonderful. The characters were fun and interacted well with the kids. The Allergy friendly menu was also a plus.
